After three long, chaotic and guests filled months, we have finally finished our living room/dining room project. We are happy with the results and eager to continue on to the next room...After we save up some more money to pay for it!
A week ago, I was picking up the downstairs bathroom and dropped a spoon (with nutella on it--who is eating nutella in the bathroom?) into the toilet as it was flushing. I was hopeful that the spoon would go on through the system, but no, it couldn't make it's way through the commode. Thanks to Joanna's sister Liseanne, Darren was able to take out the toilet and with Scott and April's snake we retrieved the missing spoon.
Annabel has given up a bad habit and for her reward she has earned a new guitar. She has wanted one for years, and is finally getting to do a little pickin' and grinnin'.
Annabel brought this home from school this week. She is 10 yrs old. She has been on the phone with her girlfriends every day since then. Ugh, I'm not old enough to be dealing with this!
This should be interesting to anyone who has read The Omnivore's Dilemma. And even to those who haven't.
These two guys, Rogers & Dalhauser, inspired Noah to try out for the volleyball team at school.
Look who made the team! Way to go, Noah!!!
Noah was eating a caramel candy and found a nut in it so, he spit it out into the garbage. A few minutes later he notice that something felt odd in his mouth. Looking in the mirror, he discovered he had lost a tooth. Going back to the trash, he found his tooth wrapped in caramel--not a nut, but a molar. He told me he didn't even know the tooth was loose, nor did he feel it come out. That empty space in his upper jaw is where the tooth was.
Happy Days are here again.
Noah was calm, only slightly nervous. He is off to 7th grade and it is the same school.--Been there, done that.
Bea leaves next. She is so excited she can barely contain herself. She can hardly wait to get to school to see her friends.
Annabel is looking forward to school, but is a nervous wreck. Lots of hysterics. I end up taking her to school because she is sick to her stomach and quite anxious. She finds a friend just as she gets out of the car--all is well.
