And I am already feeling a little queasy. We have a lovely room with a balcony. Have been exploring the ship.

First signs of Spring

It is beginning to look like Spring. Annabel helped pull out the grill and cook the hamburgers. Still not warm enough for eating outside, though.

Bea usually has the whole style thing working for her, but every now and then something goes haywire in her brain and she comes up with some crazy look that makes me cringe.

Is it time to open the pool?

Apparently, my girls think it's time. Tonight at 6pm the temp was 49 degrees and who knows how cold the pool is, but that doesn't seem to matter to them.

Noah was smart enough to watch from the sidelines and take pictures.

Saturday Morning Walk

Instead of going to the gym this morning, Darren and I went on a walk with the girls and Winnie down to Twelve Corners and had a little breakfast and burned all those calories on the way back. Care to tag along?
We found a pair of mallards doing a little nesting.

When we left home it was 39 degrees, which seemed quite toasty to the girls in the group, but Darren is dressed for snow.Bea rode her scooter.

Annabel is growing up so quickly. We are really enjoying her these days.

The center and heart of our little town.

Panera has a yummy display of pastries.

Annabel found something she likes.

I don't know what's more delish, Bea or that bagel of hers.

Winnie really wanted a bite of Annabel's souffle.

A cloudy day good for pictures. It was 45 degrees by this time.

I should have changed my aperture for a better pic of Bea here.

I found these colorful gates and doors in Meadow Brook.

Anyone recognize this place? We are almost home.

Oh my gosh, she's exhausted, but we made it home.

Look what is blooming in our yard-the witch hazel.
It was a lovely morning and it is exciting to think that Spring is coming. Thanks for coming along with us today.

Annabel's poem

The Empty Canvas

I am blank, no color at all.
I wish to be famous, like the Mona Lisa
Make me amazing, magnificent,
Perfect.

Is Di Vinci still alive? Can you get him?
I can't be sculpted, built or molded.
Just pick up a pencil, draw a line or
a dot, and see where it takes you.
I know you will do fine. Then I will be
amazing, magnificent, and perfect.

They'll put me in the Louvre
where people can see.
They'll put me in art books
and never again be forgotten.
You and I will go down in history.

50mm lens playtime

We had some sunlight coming through the windows so I thought I would become more familiar with my new lens.

A bit of color

on a gray and cold morning. I need something to look forward to.

I found these cyclamen growing at Magic Kingdom in January. We only grow these as house plants here and there they were growing in beautiful beds. I am looking at another two months before things are in bloom here.
