Master Bedroom
We have finally finished all the bedrooms and hall upstairs. Sunday night, Darren put down the threshold and we moved the furniture back into our bedroom.
We are very pleased with the final results. The colors are from Benjamin Moore, but we used Behr paint from Home Depot. The ceiling is paradise blue, and the walls are nova scotia blue. We have found that tinting the primer is key to great wall coverage. Our friend, Zion, the muralist, taught us that when we were painting our last house.
I had book club here on Monday, so that was a motivation to get things back on the walls. Now the key is to keep out the clutter!

I am massively jealous. It is gorgeous!!!
It looks beautiful!! The dark furniture looks so good against the blue.
Deborah, it looks awesome!!! I love it!!!
it really is BEAUTIFUL! I want to paint mine now!
Isn't it so nice to have a "retreat"? We used to have that. Now we have a one-year-old.
I think it looks so beautiful and bigger. What did you do with all your stuff?I love the floor so much! Now you just need curtains to really finish it off.
Oooh, ahh...it's SO beautiful. I am asking for paint for my birthday. Tell me more about tinting the primer.
Wow, it looks beautiful!!
But did he carry you across the threshold?
I LOVE your room and can't wait to see what you do with the rest of the house.
This room is so calm and fresh, what an oasis to spend time in! I love that you painted the ceiling, I'm always so afraid to touch the ceiling! Your house is looking amazing, I wish we could swing a NY trip and catch up with you guys.
Deborah your room looks so peaceful and beautiful! How did you choose those colors? It reminds me of the beach a little bit - just relaxing near the water.
I love it! It really looks very serene! Wish we could come stay again and "take care of the kids" or just relax in your beautiful room!!! Miss you guys!
Oh, who makes those window things? I love how you put it above your bed. I know someone makes them, but I can't pull from my memory who. Possibly the lack of sleep I'm enduring with our new little boy! ;)
Beautiful! I love the colors...they just make me happy! Tinting primer saves you hours of work! That's what we did in what is now Amy's red living room!
