Desperate Sledders and Boy Chef

We have had almost no snow in January, and my girls were getting a little down about it, so when the ice storm hit this weekend and then a light dusting of snow on top of that occured, they hit the slopes--the driveway actually.
While girls were busy sledding, Noah was inside making dinner. He has a 10 week home ec class that requires him to make 5 things from scratch. He made Pioneer Chicken Soup and it was delicious! Though Noah has no idea how it tastes, he refused to try it. Typical for Noah, as he only eats about 5 things and soup is not on that list.

that sledding is too funny. We didn't even think of that. I love that Noah wouldn't even try the soup. (Thanks for the heads up on the wrong link.)

We have all of your snow!! Please come and get it. I am sick of shoveling. We had to spend Saturday on "snow removal" to make room for the next storm. Reminds me of living in NY!

Next time Noah needs to make a meal that he won't eat, send him to my house and I will be happy to eat it for him.

Noah, it looks like you really missed out. That soup looks delicious. Siena just found out that her favorite meal has goat's cheese and she just about talked herself out of eating it.

Haha.. Did I act that squirmish about food when I was younger? I've certainly gotten over most of it, but there's still small list of things I try not to eat here in Japan.

Natto (fermented (read rotten) soy beans)
Salmon eggs
Liver
Raw eggs (depends on the dish)

Pretty much everything else is ok these days. Tell Noah to come visit me in Japan and I'm sure he'll eat a number of things he never would have eaten before. Hunger is the best spice!

I love how Anabel and Beatrice were arguing over who won. Clearly Anabel went the furthest.

I love your subtitle under the Pulley Principle - made me smile!

I can't believe he still doesn't eat. How is he growing? Kids amaze me that way.

Oh my gosh, I am laughing my head off right now! That is something my Adam would do...he begs me to let him cook but he won't eat anything! What are these boys subsisting on? And do you have as many dinner-fights as we do at our house?

Mmm, I really want to eat that bowl of soup... like right now! It's a whole 0 degrees out here today with a wind chill of about -24. I understand it's cold where you are too, but you have a child old enough to make soup for you! Want to ship him to Chicago for me! ;)

You really do need to post the recipe!
