Look what my talented mother made for me. We saw these last year at Colonial Williamsburg. My mother knew she could make these herself. Well, I finally received one of these beautiful gourds. Thanks for sending me one.
OMGsh that is beautiful! I have never seen anything like it.Is it preserved? Can you put a candle in it? I want one. Wow!!! Tell your Mom for me, I am impressed. She did great!
Thanks for the compliments, but no, it isn't blue, that's evidently the reflection of light. It's stained with brown leather dye. I sent a battery candle with it,which may be lost in the packing. Because it's closed in on top, I told Deb not to put a candle in it.

Is that blue? I have never seen a blue gourd before. Very cool!

I love yours, but mine is better. I love the pine needles intertwined in it. I will eventually send you a picture. When I find my camera.
I have one, too, and I just love it to death. I'll post a picture as a reponse to yours... if I can figure out how.
