Spanish Food

Pizza with anchovies, mushrooms, capers and black olives w/the pits.

Chicken paella.

Cary poured oil and vinegar, voila yin and yang.

This is pork loin with marsala sauce and raisins.

This area of Spain is know for its hams.

Darren enjoyed the fried eggs, but the chorizo was too strong.

We now know that Spain is not a place to visit for the food.

I don't have anything nice to say because I am burning with jealousy. BUT! But. I am reading EVERY post. So please take pity and continue posting and know that I am crying into my cheerios at home. By the way, I could use fewer shots of Darren peeing. No one needs to see that.

Amen to that last statement about the food, Deborah. Have you found all the pork and ham to be rancid? That's what it tasted like to me. Perhaps it's the way they prepare the food, but personally, I think it's just bad. Dad ate lots of gazpacho, but it just made my stomach hurt. Someone needs to introduce a pitting machine to the Spaniards too. Sorry to be so negative, but only about the food. The country, the people, the architecture, the history, the art, etc. is all fantastic. I enjoyed it greatly!

Hey Deborah-
I had to add a little comment to your blog.....
I second your impression of the food. I haven't missed it. I LOVE all your pictures and I am so glad you thought of every detail of our trip. Please upload them to shutterfly or something. You are a pro. Great memories! Thanks
